Rare 19th Century Burmese Temple Bronze Bell with Guardian Lions, Buddhas and Zodiac on a Wooden Frame
The bell measures 15.00" high and has a 9.50" diameter.  It weighs 12 pounds.
The frame measures 25.00" high, 18.00" long and 11.75" wide.
The top loop of the bell features cast guardian lions and protective Buddhas.
The bottom of the bell features the Burmese zodiac with a rat, an elephant, a lion, a tiger, Garuda and a serpent / Naga.
Early 19th century finely cast Burmese bronze temple bell surmounted with two guardian lions and two Buddhas. This rare temple bronze bell is a great testimony of the Burmese mastery of cast bronze in the 19th century. The attention to detail is obvious in the execution.
