Antique 1880's Large Ornate Baby Wicker Pram/Carriage

Wakefield Rattan Co was founded in 1851 by Cyrus Wakefield and did not merge
with the Heywood brothers until sometime in the 1890's.
This carriage/pram predates the Heywood Wakefield merger which dates it
sometime between 1880 and 1890.
The carriages/prams that Wakefield produced were more ornate than their
competition from that era.
This carriage has an ornate scrolled frame with a woven mesh bottom. The
scrolled sides feature a sort of openwork basket style weaving with a pretty
floral design.  It has a high woven back and a cushioned side and back
panel for the child.
(The cushioned sides and back are not in the best of condition, but can be
redone if one desires to do so.)
It has the original handle and wheels and the foot brake is still functional.
The carriage does have the connecting apparatus to hold the original
somewhat tattered umbrella.
